Tracy Childs Bio:
Tracy is a super passionate healthy food advocate who fully embraced a plant-based lifestyle as a young adult. She co-authored the new release, America Goes Vegan! with Glen Merzer. She’s also contributed recipes to other books, including Food is Climate and Handbook to Higher Health Consciousness.
She’s a certified Nutritional Consultant and holds a Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from eCornell. Tracy has coached and taught nutrition and cooking since 2005, as a Food for Life Instructor, with the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine.
In March of 2020, she launched Tracy’s Real Foods with her husband, producing uniquely whole-foods plant-based products, serving San Diego and shipping her healthy Goodies nationwide.
Serving the community is important to her so in 2015 she founded PlantDiego, a San Diego-based nonprofit to educate and support people in living a healthy, whole-food, plant-based lifestyle. PlantDiego is part of the nationwide PCRM Pod Program.
She’s also a contributor, filming live cooking demos, community events and activism with the UnchainedTV News Network.
