Our World of Synthetic Chemicals, and How to Protect Yourself

January 31 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us for a deep dive into the world of synthetic chemicals and learn how to keep yourself safe in everyday life.

We will explore the many ways in which we can protect ourselves from chemical harm, as individual, households, businesses, and communities. Topics will include the numerous carriers of toxins into our lives, such as food and food packaging, plastics, personal care and household products, clothing, and more. We will also explore our chemical reality, and what’s needed at a system level to fully protect us. Matt’s approach is participative and we’ll work with the knowledge in the room among us as well as the expertise he brings.  REGISTER HERE

Matt Kahoe Bio:

Matt Kayhoe owns a small consulting firm in Washington, DC, focused on mission-driven organizations and the people who lead them: those driving social change and innovating with a social purpose. As a thinking partner, coach, and advisor, he brings a pragmatic, informed, creative approach to the development of individual leaders and the advancement of significant change or ambitious new vision.

He has deep experience in environmental advocacy and policy, health care delivery, affordable housing, and with scientists as leaders. Matt also has had a role in a number of technology startup businesses and innovation efforts, with lessons learned from both success and failure.

Since 2023, Matt has filled the role of Director of Solutions for Environmental Health Sciences. This choice was made from a deep concern for the damage and threat of synthetic chemicals, and the need for social and policy change to rebuild our shared chemical future.

His education includes a degree in Management and extended professional programs in organizational theory and development at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and the NTL Institute.
